* The viscosity of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) oils is determined by the size of the molecular siloxane polymer chain which is controlled by various means (reaction time, temperature, pressure, catalysts, etc.) during the production process. Longer chains produce a more viscous product. Higher viscosity in lubricants in general translates to better film strength, meaning better lubrication effectiveness, but for treadmill use there is a limit as to what viscosity to use due to the fact that high viscosity means less flowability, particularly in colder weather climates. iMovR’s proprietary blend of multiple viscosities optimizes lubrication performance for treadmill applications.
